Installing a Home Security System - Andy Bell takes us to a home where a home security system or a monitoring system is being installed and how it can be altered so your furry friends don't set the alarm off. All main doors are protected but for the motion detectors they can be placed in different ways so the animals can run around. There is also a bypass feature that allows various motion detectors to be shut off without turning the entire alarm off. The key pad is very user friendly with everything stated clearly on the pad. The alarm is very loud but unlike the old alarms it will go off for 5 minutes and then automatically shut off.

  • look at this jerk!!!!!!!! he is wearing a badge. lmao!!!!! he must be a real security consultant. give me a break!!!

  • By the time you pay 31.99 for three years you would have paid the same amount for a very nice DSC set-up. You can install your own security system and contact a monitoring company yourself and pay about 8 bucks a month. I always go through Alarm Relay. Once you have your system installed and tied into the communications module properly they will walk you through programming the system to communicated with thier call center.

  • @vorkev1 if you get a gun it will not provide you with protection when your away he will just grab it and shoot you when you get back.

  • And I own a Stately Home, It's not against any code if the premises are Large enough that's why I have a Master Blaster for an External Siren and a 125 DB on the bottom floor of the East and West Wings, We are on the top floor of the North floor, Besides You probably live in America, Britain has different regulations concerning installations.

  • @MrNick2650 I own a Security Company, We fit Alarms, Access Control, Locks, CCTV and Safes, We are MLA, SAVTA, ICL and SIA approved, We don't fit pieces of crap sensors or panels, I admit I don't know this PIR because I only deal in Optex, Napco and Texecom not some no name generic rubbish, I know how Pyro's and Microwave emitters work, ThankYou for the lesson but You're about 20 Years too late for the Dualtech lesson.

Oh and You are Talking to someone who has been Working with them for Years.

  • @MrNick2650 Youre the idot. Motions are deactivated when the homeowners are home. So they become useless at night. Second Motions can be sprayed with hair spray/wd40/hair gel/adhesive and then they can not see out. Along with this the motions are pet friendly up to 80 pounds. but if 2 dogs are right next to each other and that combines past 80 pounds they will trip causing a alarm signal and a police response. So most homeowners leave there motions off during the day and only the doors are armed.

  • @thekooldude215 thats what the motion is for u idiot.

  • @KitCloudkickerUK your a idiot. its not upside down its right side up. there is a plastic piece inside that gets swapped out for one that looks straight ahead instead of down. also the pet immune motons suck thats why they are called pet friendly. and that is a dual tech motion, which means its not just pir, its also microwave. you need both to activate it. not one so before you say anything do your research. or talk to someone who worked for them for years.

  • horn is against code thats an indoor siren not a outdoor one. who ever installed this is a idiot i worked for brinks and they go inside. its 85db and it code that it is meant to be heard in the house by all occupants. how can u hear it in the garage with the door closed and most people sleep with the bedroom door closed as well

  • Get a gun its cheaper and works better. a if someone breaks in with a alarm thay can return. if someone breaks in and you shoot them thay will not return.

  • just get a loud horn! lol.

  • are there different types interior sirens? most of the sirens looks like a white speaker box.
