Just as an aside, the plane you illustrated was a Gannet from 849B Flight which was on the "Old" HMS Ark Royal, not the one that is in Portsmouth Harbour today.

lI believe I have learned more about photograpy and PhotoShop by watching three of your videos than I have from every other source I've used. Please keep posting these videos.

Does this technique work if your not using raw files?
-
Would Auto-Blend layers have been practical in this scenario? It would definitely be faster...I'm not sure if it would work well or not...
Hi Gavin,
Thanks for all your videos and specially this one!! Very instructing.
My only concern with this technique would be the color temperature from the torch, and would love to see this one done with one single speedlight.
Again, thank you so much!!

@340ander If you shoot in RAW then the Colour temperature isn't a problem as it's set as part of the RAW processing. The problem would be if you mixed light sources during the shoot.

Oh to afford CS5 ;~(

@eddiegremlin Don't be down hearted. As I showed in the video it's a tiny bit quicker with CS5, but TOTALLY possible to do in any CS version of Photoshop.

I am guessing a remote release would be even better then a cable one. When checking what exposure how did you do this as to distance from subject will make a big difference to how much painting you had to do. Or was you the same distance with the light for every shoot?

@devonmale69 Remote release is better then cable, cable relese is better then pressing the shutter :-)
Light to subject distance was roughly constant, but part of the fun was it wasn't very scientific.
