Well said Mr. Allapichai. These movies were released just after his waning youth period and in order to keep up with the trend then. Even then his immortal acting glittered in films like 'Thillana Mohanambal; Gnana Oli' 'Gouravam, Muthal Mariyadhai etc. These were the films which had taken him to new heights after his 40s. His place in Tamil cinema will ever be vacant.

Sunil Dutt's movie was wrongly mentioned by me as Gopi. It was Gauri, a remake of Paagapirivinai in Tamil.

The downfall of Sivaji Ganesan was his own making. There was a time when top Hindi actors like Sanjeev Kumar (Naya Din Nayee Raat), Dilip Kumar (Gopi) and Sunil Dutt (Gopi) were happy to act in the roles perfected by Sivaji. In 70s he started acting in some Tamil movies which were the remake of Hindi films like En Magan (Pehchan), Sivakamiyin Selvan (Aradhana), Vani Rani (Seetha Aur Geetha) Uthaman (Aa Gale Lag Jaa) etc. These movies definitely affected Sivaji's calibre and reputation.
