How To Get Free Ringtones

How to get free Ringtones using only iTunes, this involves no jail breaking and is 100 percent FREE.

Note:Your ringtone may range from 0-40 seconds based on what I have tested.

Instructions

1)Find a Song
2)Right Click and Go to get info
3)Go to Options
4)Change time to any 40 second period (check both boxes)
5)covert to AAC
6)Delete New Version, but keep file
7)CLOSE ITUNES
8)Find AAC song file
9)Drag to Desktop
10)Rename from .M4A to .M4R
11)Double Click
12)It will Open in iTunes under ringtones tab
13)Sync just like you normally would

omg everybody , i know how to get the Ring Tone Tab ,, 1.go to "Edit" 2. click on "Preferences" 3. itll show u the general thing and click on "ring tone" and it shows on the itune home !!!! plz like this!

my problem is i do all the steps but when i go to click it to turn on itunes it does not open as a ring tone it opens as the song

im not sure but if you buy the song off itunes u cant that i no of so far. but its easyer to download off of lime wire etc then try puttin it to 30 seconds then go for the aac version, thats what i do

In iTunes 9 when I try to convert the song to AAC I get an error message saying I can't because the song is "protected". Is there a way around this?
