  • @michelle828282 This song is to honor the island of Maui. The first verse says, "Maui is honored with the rose lei" and goes on to say "Hers is a treasured and singular beauty." Each succeeding verse goes on to tell of varying points of interest on the island that have historical and cultural significance to the Hawaiians. The lyrics were written by Kahikina de Silva & melody by Moe Keale.
