What are we doing again?

i might be overthinking this, but maybe not

how exactly do we all see tis happening again? wont that affect our strategy?

lots of this sounds like im being pessimistic, but im just trying to look at the situation realistically. it doesnt do anyone any good to exaggerate or be overly optimistic. we have to be truthful and factual, especially to ourselves, or else we're not setting ourselves up for success very well at all

im just trying to get some focus and some clarity. i have not given up in an way shape or form. i am still very dedicated, but i just like to constantly evaluate so that i know i am applying my efforts in the right ways, on the right lever arms, over the right fulcrums, towards attainable ends, for realistic goals

We have already overshot our carrying capacity. If everyone stopped using oil today, I'm guessing that half the world population would die within a couple years of starvation and disease. The crash is happening now! Drop out now! Some good skills to learn include: wild herbal medicine, delivering babies, hunting game, making sail boats, learning to use a hand gun, learn to socialize and make friends, and whatever else you can think of.

one thing i've been noticing is to put the "collapse" in the near unforeseeable future... it's happening right now. we are more than half way into everything you've mentioned right...? all the "bad" shit we think we're gonna see is already happening in abundance right now... we're just dumb enough to think because it's not happening to us the way it is happening to iraqi's, alawa,etc we're ok for now... so it make sense to start there... ???

very true, because its not in our backyard, we cant see on a day to day basis how bad it is (and thats probably on purpose).

thats kinda what prompted "the end is here" campaign. it worked (and is working) for many...

I've found that when I read something new about the climate crisis, about species loss, about pollution..whatever. It just makes me depressed, and that drains my energy. I don't need to know all the details anymore to know that civilization is fucked up and needs to come down NOW. So instead, I spend that time, say, learning about wild food in my area, and then when I'm out with a friend, I point out the wild plants. Just an example from my own life. Hope this helps.

you end this on a good note "lets talk more" don't underestimate the publics want for different options. when they hear different options or see them a shift happens right away, it might take time for people to rationalize thier options as possible but we store them in mind and when we need them they surface right away.
