  • Todays country except for a chosen few, doesnt have the heart that people like Faron had. Thank god there are people in this world that wont let go of it and we can still listen. Thank you for posting this......brought back lots of memorys of the real thing.

  • This song is one of my all time favorites. It brings back so many memories of Saturday night dances at the VFW where the beer flowed freely and good times were had by all. Lots of cowboy hats and boots and the young guys smelled like Brut and British Sterling and all the old men smelled like Old Spice. I wish I could go back and have that much fun again.

  • I met Faron at a show he came off stage and asked my greataunt to dance then met him agin at a show and he sat down with two jar heads as he said and had a drink with us a wonderful

man wish he would have known how much he was loved

  • If you like Faron & this song, search for Waylon Jennings and Friends 2 on YouTube. The 3rd song on the video will be a funny story about it by Faron & Wille Nelson. There are also videos 1,3,4 & 5 that I think you will enjoy.

  • @TheBeerman43 he had lung cancer at the end and was very depressed to not be recognized by modern country radio in favor of the new flavors of that time. So, he decided to end it himself. Very sad as I talked to him on the phone one time. Great guy and down to earth as he had no idea who I was. Just made regular convo like I was a buddy.

  • @AngelDrifter1 You said it!!! They don't have the heart OR the talent (not to mention they're not Country). God Bless Faron & long live REAL Country Music

  • @LLMorse1 No bigger George fan than me, but Faron was right up there with him (& Hank) as the greatest male singers in Country Music. He didn't "need" an orchestra either. He never had one on his other songs and almost never had one when he did "Four" live. I won't touch the Sinatra comment, he didn't (& couldn't) sing Country. Bing & Dean sung him under the table anyway

  • he's the best we'll ever get

  • What a gift this man had....a beautiful voice.

  • He is sooooo good, and funny, oncore!!!! ha ha ha good on you Faron.
