Jan Jao (Rita) is the long-lost granddaughter of Worathep Surasit (Ah Ning), a very wealthy and influential man in Chiang Mai. He's been searching for her ever since his son Burin fled the country with her when she was a baby seventeen years ago. When he finally finds her, he brings her back to live on their estate, but not everyone is happy about her return. Her grandmother is cold to her, her aunt hates her, her uncle by marriage resents her, and her two cousins are cruel to her. At the all-girls' school Jan Jao attends, she ends up befriending a girl named Nudee (Jaja) who, traumatized by the constant bullying at school, is able to see the spirit of Khru Romani (Moo), the school's
resident ghost. As Jan Jao and Nudee delve into the mystery, they begin to unravel a long-held secret lurking amidst the lush beauty of Chiang Mai, a mystery that somehow seems related to the disappearance of Jan Jao's mother. Together, the two girls search for answers, and inadvertently start a chain of reaction that puts their lives in danger.
