  • I've seen this procedure done hundreds of times over by surgeons all over the world and they all love it.

  • The implant sits on the vertebral body from one end to the other. With proper discectomy, you can fit one straight across. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes so there's really no issue there. With that kind of coverage and added fixation(bolts and plate), subsidence is avoided. Also These components, along with biologics, allow for proper fusion of the disc space. All ligaments, musculature, nerves, and blood vessels are preserved.

  • how does that fit around the spinal cord when inserted like that?
