In this video, Eric and I demonstrate a new mode of gameplay in Pump It Up Pro 2. "Routine" Mode is cooperative, so both players play simultaneously to achieve a single total score. But the catch is, each player has a pre-designated set of arrows that he or she can hit, and the placement of the arrows frequently requires both players to move around the entire pad. (And sometimes very quickly!) In short, player one hits the blue arrows and player two hits the red arrows. You could think of it as a vastly improved version of custom "couples" charts on ITG, except that there is a much wider variety of patterns and interesting gimmicks that can be (and are) used in 10-panel.
I think this really is the coolest feature of Pump It Up Pro 2, and it's almost impossible to play without a smile on your face haha.
Eric (darkchao56) is one of the Pro 2 developers, and this is one of his fantastic machines (no pun intended).
Star Command is a very difficult chart in the game with many turns and runs that require you to switch pads as well. It's not so fast that it's impossible, but it provides a good challenge for experienced players to learn new techniques.
Nooooo! Don't fall!!!!! Haha good try though guys. Keep it up.
