"Play and games are fundamental to learning. From early age children learn about themselves and their environment through explorative play, constructional play or role play."

Multimedia games are increasingly popular amongst children, teenagers and adults alike. The game arcades and home computers are full of game applications, yet the content of these games is in most cases of no educational value and often violent, offensive or otherwise questionable.

Formula D Interactive utilizes multimedia games for educational content thus facilitating youth culture for the benefit of education. Educational games add fun and playful competition to any matter that needs to be communicated. Game applications can be designed for various formats, such as internet, CD-ROM, DVD, cell phones, touch screen kiosks or large scale interactive projections and educational exhibitions. Interactive educational games often interlink with e-learning applications, which make use of game structures to allow users to test their knowledge.

E-Learning does not replace a teacher or parent, nor can it do any other forms of magic. However, our properly designed e-learning courses are by far more than digital text books or instructional videos. Formula D Interactive designs effective multimedia for learning that combines different media formats and technologies in well reasoned ways taking advantage of each mediums unique characteristics.

E-learning courses may run on the internet, corporate intranets, CD-ROM, DVD or cell phones, depending on the distribution channel most suitable for the target group. Applications include sound, animated graphics and video if possible as these media have proven to be more memorable and thus enhances the learning effect. Interactive learning activities supported by electronic feedback systems foster a greater involvement of learners who are in constant dialogue with the course as opposed to "consuming" a presentation. All learning applications can be linked to databases, recording learner activity and assessments. Teachers and administrators review and manage all entries through a central admin console.

Formula D Interactive is experienced in conceptualizing, designing and implementing e-learning courses for large corporations and public institutions. Possible applications include corporate induction programmes, remote studies, corporate training courses, manuals and maintenance guidelines for machinery and equipment
