I've been trying to figure out the origin of my last name. In the meantime, I've figured out 4/16 of my great-great-grandparents are 4/32 of your great-great-great grandparents. I think you are one generation younger than me. It's confusing, I know.

It turns out the Gardner Men liked the Mecham girls and vice versa. I think your great-great-grandparents were Alice Maria Mecham and Bernard Edward Gardner; my great-grandparents were Ira Stephen Gardner and Mary Mecham.

I looked up some chart, and if Pem is your first cousin twice removed, and my great great aunt, then we would be third cousins. That is if I am reading the chart correctly. This is kind of ace.
