No, it's not mental retardation, but it has something to do with repetitive behavior. That's why you see her rocking side to side on the air conditioner. Also, a lot of children with autsim like to climb on and out of things and they like to hide. It's a challenge trying to keep them safe. They don't have any comprehension of how dangerous these things can be. Most of the time they do these sort of things when they are under stress.
