This piece is from Bird's Opus 37, a group of music composed especially for Mason & Hamlin organs. It is played on an 1895 M&H style 431 "Sankey" model reed organ by Michael Hendron.
this was lovely! the chamber winds ensemble i direct in Phoenix will be performing Bird's Wind Serenade in Eb op. 44 this March -- amazing Bird isn't better known, given how important he was in American Music History. This piece reminds me very much of what he does in the slow movement of his Serenade: outline a theme that sounds just like a popular parlor tune of its day (Stephen Foster comes to mind....). Great stuff, please post more!
Like the home-made Prolongement! And it's a beautiful piece, too – thanks, Michael!

Great! Great music on a great harmonium. Also thanks for the readable close-ups of the stops.
