Great tune man..Really Nice.
-
So C Dorian and C Blues seem to work fine, any others that should work? Thanks
-
@DylanGalvinMusic your right sir.. the music can be determined what it is basd on the chord it starts and ends on.. that sjust the way music fits together, if you dont know what then well, theres no point in going any further in this conversation cuz that person would be wrong to start fundamentally

@riddiarius Just guess notes... you'll get the hang of it eventually. All 12 notes sound good at the right time.

@DylanGalvinMusic Interesting...

This is G Aeolian, not C dorian.... and no its not the same thing

@WhoIsRasmus You are right, c dorian and g aeolian are not the same thing. But this is not G aeolian. The starting chord of this progression (c minor) is indicative of the tonic of the progression. Its chock full of bVII - i's and IV 's which (in minor keys) are both strong indicators of dorian harmonic progressions. Keep jamming on it for a while, you'll start to hear the root better.

@DylanGalvinMusic No the starting chord is definitely a G minor. Plus, you can hear that the leading tones are D# and A, which is G aeolian....

@WhoIsRasmus 1. D# and A are not leading tones in G or C minor. 2. Yes, the first chord is C minor because I wrote this myself, trust me, it's C minor.
