@MatthewLeee a non-ranked society would be socialism which has never worked. It's very simple really. Rank has always existed. Taking away people's power/rank would create chaos (imagine the military without rank. Who gives the orders? It's absurd). Any position that has responsibility and authority has rank. Leaders must hold rank and take care of those under them. People want to be protected by police, fire dept, hospitals/doctors/RN, etc. Rankism = lack of dignity/respect (Matt. 7:12)
