I have a recording we did at the guitarists hall. Not my kit except the LM402 and I met the bass player for the first time that night. Slight rough spots but this is all unrehearsed and what's called "live off the floor".

Go figure, i'm playin' an 18" kick in this one and almost like it too much! Big change from the 26"!

  • this aint no jazz this is normal free form rocking

  • @BenThomasFoster

    listen towards the end

  • What gear is the guitarist using? I like his sound. I have played guitar for 30+ years before I started drums only 8 years ago. Just a first time jam. Just think what it would be like with organized structure and then some!? Ever heard some Zepp Rehearsals? I bet they liked Dan's playing! Heck man I like it...! It sounds good ...it is good. Did you guys get together again?

  • @AldridgeHalenFreak

Tony uses Mesaboogie. Yeah, I've heard some of the zep rehearsals and they are SO interesting! Tony and the boys are always asking me to come down to the hall and jam and we do it from time to time. Thank you for listening!

  • ah jeez a little embarassing thank loudrowdstroud for saying pagey instead of sloppy hehe

  • You played fine Tony...was only a jam :)

  • In fact, the end sounded very metal.

  • End was amazing.

  • That was a pretty sweet jam man.

  • @GrooveDrummin yea i wrote it before the end :S

  • this doesnt sound half bad i mean the bass and drums are up to a grove but the guitar is lackin that sound ya know

  • Im not familiar with the Apex Mic's you mention. I am used to my Shure 57's. But your sound is good. I think also your riff had some substance to it and overall it sounded good. maybe a break somewhere there and slip another chop to sort of complete it maybe...but it was cool man. A good riff. What speakers are in your Epiphone Cab? I was just thinking for what it's worth, you guys could create a decent band! If you guys felt like it.

  • @AldridgeHalenFreak thanks iam using a mesa boogie 100 watt nomad head with a 300 watt 4X12 epiphone cab a zoom gt9 pedal board through the front and a ibanez rg 350 this was recorded with 2 apex 435 mics

  • Man I wish I was with you guys. I use Two Fender 5150III's with a Sonic Maximizer looped through the back of both. For speakers I use the Matching Cabinets with their Greenback 20's. Yeah...his amps sound sweet! Reminds me of Metallica's tone. Im not really a Metallica guy though. I think you guys should put a band together and write some grooves! Sounds cool man.
