The S;A&B page on IMDB has a plotline for what the second season/end of series would have been. I can't ge the DVDs for the series in the UK so I'm still searching to download them somewhere. Now, what's the name of the clip for the end of this ep (best one after 'Who monitors the birds?') which I almost prefer to the opening.

I can't help but hope that maybe Vansen and Damphouse are stranded on planet and maybe West and Hawkes are gonna go AWOL just to go find them (then theres also my thought about Wang escaping in an escape pod or soemthingbefore the Chig crashes into him, but I guess that's less likely)

@Corman947072 There is a fanfic, I think at a site called "The Definitive McQueen," that explores (IIRC) something very much like this. It purports to be the premiere of season 2, and it's pretty good.

I worked for Fox around the time this show was on. I can confirm, people who run Fox are idiots! Best episode! Dark Side of the Sun a close second. that's the episode that got me hooked.

Is nobody asking the obvious question????? unless they messed up on the dvd packaging, they didnt properly analyze the backstory of the series: 2063? more likely 2163, right?? the dvd packaging says 150 years of space exploration. 2063 would mean the series completely recreates the 20th century, as far as the backstory they create.
