@shelbby24 you would graph the two numbers on the X axis of a graph. Then connect the two points with a U shape. Beyond that I have no clue.

@ndoyle1407 complex numbers uses the number "i". "i" is the square root of -1. i^2 is the just -1. So instead of using the square root of -40, you would say 4+-i (square roots of) 40

So I know we're absolutely not using complex numbers, but my algebra 2 teacher does and I'm super confused so could there ever be a video exploring them :)?

apart from being a totally awesome teacher, one thing i really like about you is your voice has that soothing effect that does not let mathematics seem to be the boring old goofy subject it actually is! ;-)
