  • USA oil production has dropped because idiots would rather drive your suv's and buy muslim oil than for us to drill our own. The bakken oil reserves has enough oil to supply the USA for more than 40 years giving us plenty of time to come up with alternate energy sources.

You left wing tree hugging socialist bastards will not let us drill our own damn oil and insist that we purchase oil from hostile nations hell bent on destroying us. Fvck you & the horse you rode in on!

  • You don't know my position on drilling. You must be talking to your liberal imaginary friend.

  • The conservatives in the 80's destroyed the progressive cause and now many progressives are hoping to create a new progressive movement (around green energy and enlightened foreign policy) will form around Obama. I believe the next major political movement is coming from the Constitutionalists / Sound Money people. It is going to be financially based and try to solve the money and credit problems of the US.

  • A couple questions about your prediction.

Beyond Ron Paul, who is older than McCain, who are the rising leaders of this movement?

Do you expect them to take over one of the parties?

  • As a European I can only warn against expensive social programmes designed to ease the lot of the "disadvantaged". The price is high unemployment, stagnation, and crushing taxes. Rather than receive generous hand-outs I prefer to have a well-paying job. And I prefer to keep most of my income rather than have it stolen by the government and wasted on social programmes that encourage welfare dependence and moral decay. Read the writings of Theodore Dalrymple and start to think.

  • This was a great comment up to the "start to think" part. You're smart, and you'll persuade more people without the condescension.

  • I can't wait until the dollar fails.

  • how u get the Uran out of earth? need oil doesent it?

  • USA system prevent Wars ? when ?

  • I would argue that nuclear is the way to go. it is dirt cheap, and it provides more power than solar, but there is the problem with nuclear waste. Whatever the way of the future is, we must let the people decide it for themselves.

  • I loved this.

  • This isn't a matter of simple public works like roads and bridges. What you are taking about is an entire transformation of the economy directed from the center. Did the New Deal Work? Great Leap Forwad? Good job at making accusations and not answering the questions.

  • ...Isn't volontary consumer choice better than using the coercive power of government? Even if you view the mission of government as good, aren't we giving it too much power? Isn't it a danger to give government too much power as it might do something YOU don't like. Perhaps the government forces everyone into an energy plan you disagree with, should you be forced into this against your will. Will you employ violence against people who don't want solar panels on their house?

  • Why can't people buy solar panels with their own money? Why does government need to do everything? People HATE the oil companies, but we buy their oil. They have no coercive power over us. If YOU are a believer in solar power, then invest some money in a solar power company. If solar power is better, then why don't people choose to buy it? Isn't FORCING people to use solar power a violation of individual rights? What if I don't want solar panels on my house?...

  • Proud to be NOT a progressive! I am a constitutionalist. Read our constitution. It's primary purpose is to protect the liberty of citizens by establishing LIMITS on what our government can do.

  • and fusion nuclear had just been made possible.Read The Popular Science For detail .FUSION NUCLEAR IS HERE!!!!
