Coloratura Fan, From my heart I thank you for this and for the many other hours of joy you bring to a sometimes sad life. Music and these videos are balm for the soul, for they show us there is something greater than outselves to aspire to. You should be canonized for all your efforts which are brilliantly realized. scenography coming from Heaven- all white symbolising Violetta's finally pure soul. Costume and hair -devia's weak points- fabulous... perfect reading of the aria and fabulously supported piano A flat at the end (the all time famous callas crack wonderfully sung)

Yes, there is a video from Washington 1976 with Sills. It is part of a commcerial release from VAI.

Sadly, the greatest "Addio" was sung by Claudia Muzio. The least you could have done was to include the audio recording. Shame.

The least I could have done.... Are you serious? The LEAST I could have done is NOTHING, and NOT shared these videos. The LEAST you could have done is respected the work that went into collecting and posting these videos. So SHAME to you!

Yes, I am serious. I appreciate the work you've done, but you should have included Muzio. Her rendition is the benchmark for all other sopranos--and it's never been matched, apart from Callas of course.

There are many many users that post audio recording on YT, I am just not one of them. I prefer to upload videos only. I am not aware of a video of Muzio, and so she is not here. I have told people many times before, if you have matterial you want posted, post it yourself.
