Attempt on Paul Masvidal's solo in Death - Flattening of Emotions. My guitar is headless just like Paul's but my skills are far away from his, I know. Anyway, I will cover this song up with my band Psychosis. Check it: http://www.myspace.com/mypsychosis

  • A little out of time and rushed but still good ! did you figure this out with tab or by ear?

  • @Decayparty This is ancient history, I was doin it from a tab, and I cheated at the parts that I couldn't play.

  • I've always noticed a lot of people solo way out of time and rhythm when not playing with something. Hence, I'm sincerely curious when I ask, do you not hear it in your head?

A tool formal musicians use to learn this is called 'sight-singing' - or at least in this case, humming or whistling the tune you've heard.

  • @aculturemind Of course I did, and I knew it. I kinda sucked so the reason there's no backing track is people might not see that I play the solo actually pretty badly:D I'm a tiny bit better now I might try again this solo or the whole track, i don't know:P

  • dude i've been playing for about 4 years already, i can play almost anything , but i still have problems shreding. i think i need a teacher, because im not improving anymore

  • Yeah, I totally understand that, I'm stuck too. I think I haven't really imporved since this video, and holy shit it was more than 2 years ago!

  • This is why I hate guitar players.

  • @deadasfak

Rhythm is more important than pitch content. I think your fingering was fine.

  • @kornbizkit16 probably need to work on your speed and ability to jump from one string to the next

  • the tuners on them are usually at the bridge

  • Hi, thanks for the comment!

The tuning happens at the other end of the string at the bridge. Search for steinberger guitars for more info, I've got Hohner guitar with Steinberger system on it
