These guys have no clue. Anyone who is familiar with Public Housing or rents to Section 8s, knows the real scoop. Me and my buddies actually laugh and envy them. The so called poor have free housing, free healthcare, foodstamps, heating assistance. They even have air conditioning and cable tv/internet. They all have cellphones and drive nice cars, because they can work mimimum wage jobs and have more disposable income than most people who have to pay for all of the above.

@schlafanzyk the problem is the constant undermining of judeo-christianity, which in the past took care of poor, orphans, etc, its mission was not only to aid them but to change thier way of thinking (thru spiritual change)and make them self-sufficient so that they could help others--a godless, secular govt. void of any spirituality, nay hostile to the concept, only perpetuates dependency, exacerbates hopelessness and even foments hostility against their own hand that is feeding them
