The only way to learn the Tarot - if you want to get beyond the beginner stage - is to use the cards to explain themselves. All is revealed in this 11 minute 29 second video. This is a big claim, I know, but it's an interesting video.

  • John, as a daily reading, I like to draw three cards while thinking/saying out loud:

What can I learn from yesterday? (past) What will my experience be today? (Present) and What are my possibilities of tomorrow? (Future)

    Are they "sound" questions?

  • @AltheaNokomis I think the questions in themselves are well-formed and worth asking. I also think three cards a day is too many because you are going too fast, especially if you do this every day, or most days. You may get a wide understanding, which can be good. I like to go for depth, so I'd pick one card and keep it in mind until I learned something important. With the card in mind, look around at your world, your thoughts, the news, everywhere - see what insights you have.

  • What an excellent video! I really enjoy your approach and find it refreshing.

  • @SingedMomma Very good. Glad you're enjoying the videos.

  • Is the idea of 11, 12, 13,14 => Knight, Page, King, Queen based on a theory? The usual rank order I see is Page, Knight, Queen, King, which would make Kings 14 and pages 11.

  • I like what you say...

    regards

    Cheryl
