This is legal, and I have been spearing for ten years. In the WI DNR fishing and spearing regulations there are chapters on sturgeon spearing. Conservation of the sturgeon along with the tradition is the most important part of the season. The season will go for two days or may extend to nine days based on the harvest. The equipment for spearing is made by local people in the area out of their garage or business on the side.

@Starwarslegobuilder Like Squarf1 said you should probably look up locals laws. Also not every species of sturgeon is endangered.
