New York City got a lesson in what happens when geography meets geometry, specifically, when the world, which is round, mets the Nissan Cube, which is essentially square. The occasion was the world debut of the Nissan Denki (Japanese for 'electric') Cube Concept at the 2008 New York International Auto Show. For more info about the Cube visit TheAutoChannel.com.

  • What asshole thought young drivers would want to save money driving a box? want an good car thats also electric .... look up tesla motors ... not this shit.... I'm dissappointed nissan.

  • wow. the chevy volt offers the same exact technology. and it doesnt look like a toaster on wheels. why not buy something that will save american jobs? when this car came out in japan it didnt even have a radio in it.

  • 2009 is not to far ahead. With advances in lithium batteries this will be very cool as gas goes to $5 a gallon or more next year. Charging at night on off peak energy will make this even better. sign me up.

  • looks like my smart will be traded soon...

  • you are fucked up. i will message you back in a couple days, go F6 yourself.

  • Finally I'm in college and can't afford a used car and or the gas.

  • Electric cars are the only thing we can currently make that is actually efficient and useful. Time will tell whether they implement the 10-minute charge system, and latest-generation Lithium-Ion batteries to give the vehicles the proper 350-mile+ range, and 400+ BHP with economy over 100mpg equivalent that is now possible. It seems there are a lot of companies deliberately producing EVs with short range and terrible performance to make people look away from what is actually possible.

  • ROFL.. 100% accurate?!? Is there any such thing in the Auto Industry? Have they ever wanted to give you a vehicle that is as maintenance-free as possible? Hell no. Maintenance is where most automakers make much of their profit. If you have to keep fixing the piece of junk they sell you... they stand to make a LOT of extra cash. Used or new, it doesn't matter to them as long as you are working on fixing things a lot.

Big oil has their hand in the cookie jar as well. Think mileage.
