  • A lovely rendition with a charming instrumental accompaniment.

  • Lucia Popp was the best Rusalka ever

  • 1 Lot's of echo to "thicken" her thin sound.

2 She can't hit a note, every opening note is approached from below.

    3 It's a crap performance.

Memo to singer. Listen to Lucia Popp and then wonder why you bothered.

  • Amazing.... Although Anna Netrebko's version is still my favourite :)

  • @Arainion Americans are just dumber version of British (not counting blacks and the spics, they form a cathegory of their own).

  • @chkjns By saying american I mean that it has lost its original style and replaced it with typical superficial american features: exaggerated emotional noises, twittering flute, and so on. It's absolutely different style than Dvorak's. It's like from some American musical movie for teenagers. No it's not world music, it's american... or british?, doesn't matter, it's the same. Americans actually are British.

  • @Arainion Ironic that it sounds American when the soprano, conductor, & orchestra are all quite British! I've never really understood what 'American' sounds like anyway, maybe because I'm American. What I do know is this: our very best music comes from the descendants of African slaves, immigrants from Italy seeking a better life, and the descendants of Jewish refugees fleeing ethnic hatred in Russia, & then Germany. What you call 'American', is actually truly 'world' music - we are the world.

  • i like this version, even though it sounds too much american

  • Wonderful voice, hope to see more.

  • Total crap....
