@pluto140green I'm so sorry I took the steroids when i was first diagnosed and it came back multiple times. by the time i was 17 i was diagnosed with constrictive pericarditis. I am so sorry you have to go through this. No one understands just how horrible pericarditis makes a person feel unless theyve had it. I hope you have a healthier future... youre so young. Be strong!!!!

everyone that has this, DO NOT TAKE STERIODS! it makes it come back. i have had it since july f 2009. the doc said the pain is like a heart attack but longer., my pains were about a week long, could breathe in, couldnt swollow anything, had to sleep (if i could sleep) like that heartburn commercail, he is sitting up on his pillows. whats worse. im 14. i hate this, but my hospital is amazing. ive been to 3 camps for illnesses. thats a plus, but those pains, they cant be explained. it sucks.

Gastro Esophgeal Reflux Disorder! Funny as I had this too! I had it aged 37 and told it was common in males approaching their 40's. Something to do with the Vega nerve? Horrible, apparently good Organic Apple Cider Vinegar sipped slowly. Not very pleasant, but lots of people swear by it! I used tablets from doc. It lasted 6 months all clear now!!!!

Commonly this is misdiagnosed as Gerd...Anyone know the treatment for this?

@soulrich83 the worst thing was not being able to lay down. i got a milder version of it back in march. it sucks man
