@yoguy2005 point well taken and yes you're right it's almost gutless to do something like that just because you don't want to get hit when it's part of the game
-
@emaclive21 Good point and I agree with you. Ya he could let up and not hit him. This certainly isn't the best example of a hit from behind where the guy playing the puck turns at the last second...but I think you get my point. If you are lined up and see the guy coming but then turn away late...then wtf?

@yoguy2005 I'm sorry bro but Van Ryn had his back turned the whole time, so yes he is supposed to let up. Obviously you've never played hockey because it's extremely easy to not hit someone in that position, you don't always have to take the body and this is coming a person who is a Bruins fan haha

@Icedoggy924 and who broke brad stuart's jaw

This is definitely a bad hit...but as is the case with so many bad hits the player playing the puck sees him coming and then turns his back to him. What is the opposing player to do? Let up? Im not defending the hit but it seems like this happens a lot. Someone is obviously lined up to hit you and you turn your back to them and lean down to play the puck.........

That's ok. The Leafs spent the rest of the year beating the shit out of Kostopoulos...especially Jamal Mayers who pounded TK(o) on his own ice in January.
