ImagingLab built a vision-guided robotics cell based on National Instruments LabVIEW and DENSO robot arms to pick and place brushes for make-up compact assembly. The LabVIEW program locates the brushes using an industrial camera and pattern matching software. The software must determine three things: the location of a brush, the attainability of the brush (can the robot actually pick it up) and the quality of the brush (no defects allowed). LabVIEW then commands the industrial robot (using the LabVIEW Robotics Library for DENSO) to pick up the brush and place it into the fixture. Visit: http://bit.ly/9sTp8Y

  • very good:) are those scara robots?
