50's in February is an annual event commemorating the anniversary of "the day the music died", after the plane crash that killed Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, and Ritchie Valens. They played their last show at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa and shortly after leaving, their plane crashed just a few miles NW of Clear Lake. I am the guy in the brown leather jacket in some of the slides.
