Aldermaston blockade 2010

An international group of activists, coming from everywhere in Europe, blockaded on Monday 15th February the UK nuclear weapon factory in Aldermaston, together with the British peace movement. Blockades with lock-ons, choirs, bishops and Nobel prize laureates Jody Williams en Máiread Corrigan-Maguire, as well as an international delegation with a hundred activists closed all 7 gates in an action organised by Trident Plougshares. While the international delegation supports the UK movement in its resistance against the modernization of the British nuclear weapons, its action also launched the international day of action on 3rd April. On 3rd April actions will take place at all nuclear weapon bases in Europe.
