Murphy's Creek and Alice Creek join to form Lockyer Creek. This train bridge is downstream from the township of Murphy's Creek where many lives (and homes) were lost. The bridge appeared in the Australian Post Landmark Bridges stamp series. The video shows how high the creek rose (almost to the top of this bridge). The creek is now barely recognisable as the banks have been washed away. Our hearts go out to those that lost loved ones and homes in this tragedy.

  • Is this filmed from Shirleys home ?

  • This is great footage, I am making a slide show for down at the pub, and it would be great if I could maybe get a copy of this and any other photos of the floods.

If so, could you please drop it into the Murphys Creek pub with my name on it

    Thanks

    Josh

  • Thanks for putting this up !!!!! I live up the road from here & came down for a look from on top of the bridge with my brother the following day .It was almost unrecognizable.
