Dans cette pièce, Narvaez a été influencé par Josquin des Prés , et s'est inspiré de sa fameuse chanson : « Mille regrets ». Les paroles de cette chanson créent une ambiance morbide, très à la mode pendant la renaissance. J'ai choisi un tempo plutôt lent et je joue les croches inégales. J'interprète les mesures 15,21 et 27 comme des ornements ou des trilles. A mon Maître et ami Betho Davezac.
Narvaez was influenced by Josquin des Prés and in this piece of music he got inspired by the song "Thousand Regrets". The lyrics of this song create a morbid atmosphere, very much in the fashion during the Renaissance : "Thousands regrets do I have about leaving you, and having to get away from your loving face. I'm so worried and feel such pain and soon will be about to die". These lyrics imply a rather slow rhythm/ tempo, allowing hence the necessary depth and pain. I propose to play the eigth notes rather unequally and to interpret measures 15 -- 21 -- 27 as ornaments or trill.
I dedicate this interpretation to my Master and friend : Betho Davezac.

C'est une vihuela, une copie réalisée par Matthias Wagner (Badenweiler - Allemagne). C'est la guitare de la renaissance espagnole, utilisée essentiellement pendant le XVIème et le début du XVIIème siècle. Les croix qui décorent l'instrument représentent l'inquisition, qui sévissait en Espagne. Cette vihuela est en sol et est très proche du luth renaissance. Même scordature et un son très proche.
