***NOTE: This is pretty common sense, but remember to keep your grasping fingers out of the path of the knife when opening and closing. This is done easily by using the carry clip as a purchase for your fingers while keeping them out of the blade's path.

I noticed reviews of the Benchmade 580 Barrage and was turned off initially by claims that it is difficult and/or unsafe to close with one hand. If you're thinking about owning one, IT CAN BE DONE! If you already own this knife...then you probably already figured it out! :)

  • Great tip. Thanks.

  • Great vid man! I love my 580!

  • I'd rather do it with two hands on this one...feels like i'm loosing my grip on the blade. I wish that textured the grips more.

  • Very cool, I want the 580. I already own the 520 Presidio. Want something assisted.
