The Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) based in Kampala, Uganda, is a centre of excellence, dedicated to building capacity in Africa for the delivery of sustainable, high quality care and prevention of HIV/AIDS and related infectious diseases through training and research. It currently provides treatment, care and support to thousands of patients all of whom are known as "friends". Rachael Kyomugisha is one of IDI's friend's and shares some insights into her life with HIV/AIDS. Thanks to the IDI's support Rachael now lives a healthier and better live and shares her knowledge about the diseases with many fellow Ugandans.
