Lyrics:

Here they come, shaking in their boots
They'll be skipping stones with your bones
When these ants know

Where to find you
And steal all your thunder
The windows will shutter
And I'll wear a tie
And I'll wear a tie

Were you shaking in your boots?
Did it scare you half to death?
When you saw the falling arrows

Won't that be a sight?
Won't that be a sight?

Here they come, attached at the hip
Swallowing swords when they soar
Now my clones know
(Say it!)
Where to find you
Your bread and your butter
Your dim flying colors
Will both pick a side
And I'll wear a tie

Were you shaking in your boots?
Did it scare you half to death?
When you saw the falling arrows
Did you stop dead in your tracks?
Or join the whole stampede?
Just to keep from spilling over

Won't that be a sight?

Were you shaking in your boots?
Dd it scare you half to death?
When you saw the falling arrows
Did you stop dead in your tracks?
Or join the whole stampede?
Just to keep from spilling over

Won't that be a sight?

  • Chills up and down my spine.

Simply brilliant in a complicated kind of style

  • it's been almost 3 days since I've discovered this song. I've listened to it, on this very youtube page, more than 400 times. it is the most addicting song I've ever heard, especially 0:00-1:03. And the way he says 'here they come' just gives me chills, STILL.

  • @juxtapositioning 3rd wheeler here and no cool thought-out Tool referenced name..If you are in the philly area..Tool will be playing Jan. 29th. I got my tickets! Super excited gentlemen (or women) : )

  • This song makes me GWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! I love it!!!

  • @yousfulidiots I ebt, it's a song I've listened to for a long time now, and I've listened to it at least 2000 times, no lie.

  • @juxtapositioning Honestly, out of all the songs they played last night, I think I was most impressed by this one in its live form. It was absolutely incredible. If only that live experience could be bottled and accessed for future consumption...

  • @yousfulidiots 10 years is a great band! I love their first album.

  • @juxtapositioning Nothing wrong with that. This will be my third time seeing them live, but the first with them headlining. Should be sick. Last time they were in the area, they were playing with 10 Years, who are another favorite of mine, and they put on a great show too.

  • @yousfulidiots I am KIND of jealous, but it's fine, APC and The Deftones were through this way where I live earlier this year. My number 2, and 3 fave bands...lol

  • @juxtapositioning I do love a well thought out or clever screen name. That being said, I love schism, it really is an incredible song. Tool in general is one of the most unique and talented bands out there. Btw, I'm seeing ftm live in slc tonight and can hardly stand the last few hours of waiting. So stoked...

  • @yousfulidiots You are welcome, mine is obviously from the song schism, and you know it's meaning, as you are definitely educated.

  • True story. If you are familiar with Vladimir Lenin, Useful idiots is actually the term he used to describe people from western civilization that sympathized with the Soviet Union, but were actually being used as a propagandist tool. Now, its meaning has broadened to mean anyone who supports a cause they don't understand and is used for propagandist purposes. Thanks by the way. Your name is a good one as well.
