Video of the last fire station that was used for horse drawn fire apparatus still in service. The station is on Mansfield Ave in Burlington, Vt. It was a former girls school before being purchased by the city for a fire house. The bell tower was used for drying hoses in the old days. The crew slept upstairs and the horses were stabled on the right. Horses no longer run out of this station, of course. It has a pump and 3- 4 man crew.

  • this is station #3 not 2, has 2 firefighters on the truck or 1 officer/1 firefighter

  • If you listened to the video, you will see that I said station #3. The video title refers only to firehouse 2 because it was the second video I made of a firehouse. My brother is a retired battalion Chief with the BFD, so I know about the fire dept and it's stations.
