Friday, January 27, 2012 marked the end of the 38-year era of Hawker-Siddeley H4 service. The last train, made up of [Kipling] 5623-22, 5650-51 and 5611-10 [Kennedy], was in service on 64 run of the Bloor-Danforth and was in service eastbound at Greenwood at about 7:30am, going out of service at Kennedy Station at about 9:40am. This video shows the train deadheading back to Greenwood Yard, which is located south of the line between Greenwood and Donlands Stations, 17 minutes later. In 2011, the remaining H4 cars surpassed the former M1 cars as the longest-serving subway equipment ever on the TTC.

@AlexRampaul 5's, 6's and T-1's are not manually cranked, they are motorized.

@stdhwy Its not the last TTC revenue service with roll signs, The H-5's, H-6's and T-1's have that as well, you may say its the last revenue service trains with no A/C.
