  • @spandexninja Here in the states, living spaces with a faux-second floor bedroom are called lofts.

Lofts can have a bedroom on a faux-second floor (not always) and this is usually made possible because of the characteristically high ceilings most lofts have.

This video is not an example of a loft. I do not know what this type of "sleeping space" floor plan is called in Japan.

  • woah my wardrobe is probably the same size as your apartment, When it come to living spaces, the japanese really take the piss

  • My apartment is huge! I live in Tochigi-ken though.

  • wow i want a bed that's 'upstairs' like that. is there a specific name for that kind of bedroom or an apartment that has that kind of bedroom?

  • Is there no washer ?

I sure hope you cleaned your apartment...

But I like your apartment. It looks easy to make a cozy!!

  • very interesting & informative! it looks like you actually get a little bit more than your typical 1K, and i especially like the loft area for your bed (no having to put away your futon to have somewhere to sit! |D ). not as sweet as the JET apartments, though. :p

  • Thanks for this!

    I'm thinking about applying.
