@onlycash I agree with him, i play pool and thats a pretty common shot, ESPECIALLY in 9ball... ive watched TONS of videos of bustamante, reyes, and other great philipino pool players and he AND reyes have WAAAY harder (cleaner) shots then this one... I would agree I can make this shot 1/2 the time... would of rather seen the whole pool series between them 2 then just this 1 "good shot"

Actually, Django intentionally played the cueball off 2 rails (End rail, side rail) to make sure the cueball would not get stuck with a bad shot on the 5.
I learned this way of kicking years ago because when you play a kick shot using the extra rail, it helps to give a slightly bigger target to aim for and makes playing shape on the next ball a little easier too, when aiming to make a ball that's close to a rail :)

onlycash is right on the money and it's basically to stop any players from intentionally moving any balls that are close to the shooter's bridge hand deliberately to cheat.
