A diesel horn demonstraition at the Santa Susuan Railroad Historical Society 2009 meet and open house. Simi Valley California March 28, 2009. Some of Gary Tufts Airchime collection.
I have a special affinity for these horns. Not because I am an expert (I'm not) or even remotely really know anything about these instruments, but because one of my best friends, Gary, used to hit a quick shot of the horn when leaving from a hard day's work at MCC in Valencia, and everything seemed right with the world. Thanks for your friendship Gary...you are keeping a special part of America alive and well and I am proud to know you.

P3 sounded like an old cast! Which was it, the first or second generation horn? Same for the P5 if you know for sure. Thanks!
