http://JosephSmithMormon.com has articles and details about the life of the prophet Joseph Smith.
This is the first of five chapters of flm about the Prophet Joseph Smith Jr.. It opens with an actual recording of the testimony of Wilford Woodruff, a latter-day Prophet who had been well acquainted with Joseph Smith Jr. before his martyrdom. Following is a song witten by John Taylor called "O, Give Me Back My Prophet Dear" depicting various scenes from the life of this great man.
We revere him as the prophet of this dispensation. Like Moses, Noah and Abraham of old. We believe that Joseph Smith Jr. was called as a latter-day prophet to restore the Church of Jesus Christ in its fullness to the earth.
Truly, he was a Prophet and I add my testimony to the millions who have humbled themselves and confirmed from God the truth of the Restoration. Joseph Smith Jr. was a Prophet of God, an instrument in the hands of our Great Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to lay the foundation of this work and to help bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man through his teachings, revelations, the Book of Mormon and the Priesthood restored for our benefit in our time. Jesus is the Christ, and Joseph was His Prophet.

that makes sense technically Joseph was an instrument in the hands of the lord to restore the gospel back to the earth. Jesus is the founder and he is at the head of the church which belongs to HIM!

Well after research and reading the book of Mormon is the truth realized that joseph didn't just do the footwork for his own benefit, but because he was commanded to do so, and to glorify God, and fulfill the words of all the prophets since the dawn of time.

Calling Joseph Smith the founder of the LDS church gives mixed signals to antis. It makes it look like a made up religion.

I believe this song was written by John Taylor, who was in Carthage Jail with the Prophet, Joseph Smith, and his brother Hyrum, at the time of their death.
I love this song, it is an incredible testimony of the prophetic calling of Joseph Smith, and a testimony of his martyrdum. Like many prophets of old, Joseph Smith sealed his testimony with his death.
