  • This is my favorite movie. i love this movie!

But, I am confused as to why Colonel Joshua Chamberlain said they were all fighting for each other in the end. How are they fighting for each other?

  • My very good Political Science professor said that nations are formed along ethnic(Greek, Polish, Chinese, Japanese), messianic (French), Religious (Islamic World), post colonial (Nigerian, Ukrainian) or Liberal/Idealistic (Ancient Athenian, American) lines or some combination (British is ethnic and Liberal).

The American civil war was fought over what exactly made up our liberal nationalism. The speech by the Col. articulates how rare a national based on ideas really is.

  • This speech is as true today as it was 140 some years ago! This moves me so much! AMERICA SHOULD BE FREE GROUND!

  • this sound quality is amazing, is it Blu Ray?

  • Fine speech. beautiful. thank you for this up load. And it is the truth, if they would have shot those men they would have never been able to show face here in Maine again. 5 stars for this up load!

  • Liberty is the unobstructed right of all people to do as they will so long as one's actions are not a violation of anthers equal rights. Liberty or death!

  • Daniels deserved the Oscar or at least a nomination for this performance. The critics waited to bash this fine film.

  • this is one of my favorite speeches of all time. i tear up too man =]
