Honestly, were lucky there are crazy sons of bitches out there doing this.
If not, there would be no advances in the medical field. And half of us would die young.

@D7K3J Oh really? What kind of knowledge? That we can do something like that? how is that usefull?
-
@safara1011 And an added comment: if they are looking for human analogue subjects use pigs. That way if they die their death isn't meaningless and they can be eaten.

@safara1011 While I love science and I think it's interesting that a head might be able to be transplanted onto another body, but forgoing animal rights in the name of science is absolutely no different than forgoing human rights in the name of science. What makes a primate, or a dog, or a mouse, or a cat's life any less significant than a human's life? That isn't to say that I don't eat meat, I do, I just don't like killing animals just to see what we can do...

This is amazing think of what could be done if this was perfected. Im all for animal rights but if you bread animals that are meant for experiments then i dont see a problem just numb the animal put it sleep
-
This is plain wrong and evil.

I see this as progress for the same of progress. It's unfortunate that two monkeys had to die and yes it's incredibly shocking to see a living severed head. But now we know what CAN be done because of it. I'm not on either side of the argument of whether or not this is right. But what's done is done and we have collected very valuable information from it. This could later down the line help a lot of people.

@Kingof666 now do the full song xD
-
They should try this on humans, just use people on death row

@safara1011 if we could connect the spinal cords there would be a lot of disabled people walking right now
This is just incredible. SO many people are against this! But, why? Animal cruelty? It was asleep. Anyway, ifs this was in 1970, imagine what we can do NOW!! We can probably keep it alive for more than a very short period of time, and probably connect the spinal cords! This is an incredible feat of science!!! If we can connect the spinal cords... It may be able to move it's body!!! This is just... Amazing! I know a monkey was sacrificed, and I'm all for animal rights, but... It's science.
