I remember walking this pier on a sunny day with about 5 foot waves, and I got splashed pretty hard. This storm must have sucked.

That is scary! Oh my god, I imagine if you were swimming, it would be hard to get up and out safely. Beautiful video.

She is beautiful. I use to body surf those waves as a kid. I miss the lake. I go back every year.

@Strijderss - I don't have to imagine. I know a 32 ft. long boat on 10 foot waves won't do what you say--but it came close to it many times before we made safety. I'll never forget it.

We were there too that day. It's neat seeing footage from the other side facing where we were. At least you didn't get video of me getting drenched by a wave! LOL

Excellent footage!
Just imagine being in a boat in those waves.... they're so close together and steep that it'd be tough to keep your bow from just plunging in and continuing downward.

I've got a 28 foot sailboat and I'm not sure the 18hp inboard would even allow me to get out of the channel with all of the swells and surge. Definately a nasty day!
