When you take a stand and stop playing there music on the radio, than they will change. As long as they get spins, they get money. Nothing will change a hip hop artists perspective until there pockets start to hurt.

@BIGGZMUSICTV I don't really see it that way, but to each their own.

@ahjjones sounds more like braggin to me

Firstly,my condolences Pete. Secondly,''Drink driving?Sounds tame and no-one really cares. However, your brother in law was actually killed by an Ethanol drug driver who was under the delusion that he was only 'drinking'.Not suprising considering that gov'ts,Ethanol drug cartels and other vested interests(including parents) all teach that the drug Ethanol is only a 'drink' while persecuting others for drug choice. It's time to remove the 'drink' delusion from the drug ETHANOL.

BIG UPS TO YOU @petererosenberg FOR STANDING UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN!!! THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE AND IM GLAD YOU ADDRESSED IT
-
@tjbmsp so mate, whats more easy to do? kill sell drugs or beat a woman? or drink and hop in your car right after..
-
@DASCGOD holy shit that was some attempt at spelling 'coincidence'
-
They rap about killing, selling drugs, beating women ... and you go off on drunk driving?
-
I feel you pete.
Furthermore u can make the case that many negative things in hip hop have a point (ie - violence and drugs CAN be part of a STORY) ...the examples I pointed out are just gratuitous stupidity..I think you can see the difference

Yo that's the dumbest hater shit I've ever heard...I ALWAYS endorse positive hip hop and everyone who knows what I do knows that I support the good and positive shit, but what's wrong with me speaking out on something that is personal to me?

I think Kanye was using it as a metaphor. He was drinking (not being in control of his actions aka the VMA awards), and now he's driving (in control of his actions, sober).
