This is not a glitch. This is an intended side effect of swallowing the fuzzies.
Nintendo have slipped a subtle amount of fart humor into their yoshi games over the years, enough for players to notice, but not the ESRB. :P
On World 4-4 (Marching Milde's Fort), trying popping the boss until there's one single milde left, then laying it into an egg. Yoshi will also appear to be farting because the light that normally eminates from the defeated boss will appear from his butt! :P
