May I ask what the kick drum, head, pedal combo is? Sounds like it is open tuned high with no muffle and I am diggin' it big time!! Thanks for the awesome comparison videos!

@memphisdrumshop The most versatile hats ever produced. Vintage ones are thinner and darker-sounding than the newer ones, but all are great.

aahhhh i godda get me one

can someone tel me the actuall tuning for this drum to get that fat famous thud that its known for even at the high end..? do you do tune bottom head higher or wat?
-
could you please create a video lesson on how to tune a snare drum your way because all your snares sound perfect.
-
best snare in the world ;)
-
@azvaks I noticed the same, I have trouble to get it to sound good. But sometimes when I manage, the BB is unbeateble. reso head very, very, very tight. batter head juts moderate.

thanks so much for making all these vids! you can't really go anywhere and pick out awesome classic peices and tell a pro to play it in several styles cuz you wanna hear how it sounds in the mix. XD.
p.s. what an awesome job.
-
both are good drums, maybe the supraphonic is a little higher but also pretty dry. The BB is also very good.

i'm debating between buying the 402 supraphonic or the black-beauty supraphonic... not sure which yet. any large differences? this drum is obviously more expensive.
I just got one of these BBs.
Absolutely love it but I can't get it to sound quite as awesome as you did in this video. Can you tell me how you have it tuned here?
Also are you using the original snares the BB comes with?

Everything on the drum is stock. We tune the batter head moderately tight and the snare side head tight.
