The Journey to The Unknown TV show was a 60 minute British anthology fantasy/horror series that aired on ITV1 in the United Kingdom and on ABC in the U.S. It was about people who thought that everything in their lives was perfectly normal and then found themselves dealing with something abnormal (and usually supernatural).
I appreciate the post. I had a vague memory of this intro from when I was probably 7 years old. No one knew what I was talking about.

Thank you for posting this. Our ABC affiliate used to show it at 1AM in the late 1970's on Saturday night. I was a kid at the time and no one I described it to knew what the program was.

I have NEVER forgotten that creepy opening. This was a great show and absolutely needs to be on DVD. If I could see "Eve" again I would die happy.

@TimelordR Would this have influenced the Naked Gun opening titles where the car appears to be riding the rollercoaster?

This series was made by Hammer Films. The British studio that produced loads of classic cult Horror films.
If anyone likes this they should check out the Hammer House of Horror tv series which was shown in 1980.

Very unusual using an amusement park at night for a title sequence for a suspense TV series. Thanks for sharing.
